Delicatessen Sandvika is looking for a passionate and experienced chef to join our team as we bring the flavors of Spain to Sandvika. As part of Norway’s first tapas bar, you’ll play a key role in creating a vibrant kitchen rooted in tradition, quality, and community.
Delicatessen is a place to spend quality time with family, friends, and colleagues – or simply enjoy a glass of wine and new flavors at the bar. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we offer an experience that’s both intimate and social, yet always professional.
Responsibilities and qualifications
As a chef you will be in charge of preparing, cooking and plating dishes from our lunch menu, a la carte menu and our set menus.
Some details about what the job requires from you:
- Cooperating with the other chefs and maintaining the good quality
- Be able to handle stress and (at times) a high workload
- Follow our routines regarding HMS, training and quality-control
- Prepare ingredients to your mise en place
- Keep your station, yourself and your equipment clean
- We are a busy restaurant , so efficiency is a must!
Some of the qualities we are looking for:
- You are enthusiastic, service minded and willing to learn
- You (preferably) have experience from Spanish cuisine
- You are structured, clean and organized
- You are able to work independently as well as being a very good team player
- You are able to work both evening and weekend shifts
- You are solution oriented – a yes sayer!
