Sous Chef

Delicatessen Sandvika is looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our team as we bring the flavors of Spain to Sandvika. As part of Norway’s first tapas bar, you’ll help shape a vibrant kitchen rooted in tradition, quality, and community.

Your Role
As Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef and lead the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, authentic Mediterranean cuisine. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining our standards and creating a positive, efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all dishes meet our high standards of quality and consistency
- Follow procedures for food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness (IK-mat)
- Support and substitute for the Head Chef when needed
- Guide and train kitchen staff
- Manage food costs and kitchen efficiency
- Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
Who You Are
- A skilled chef with a passion for Spanish cuisine
- Experienced in high-volume kitchens
- Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
- Strong communication and planning skills
- Flexible, solution-oriented, and calm under pressure
- Fluent in Norwegian and/or English
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a chef
- Previous leadership experience in a kitchen
