Delicatessen Majorstuen has been bringing authentic Spanish flavors to Oslo since 2011. We are now looking for a dedicated and talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of taste, quality, and presentation.

About the Role
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the overall operation and leadership of the kitchen. This includes leading the team, maintaining top-quality food, cost control, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Team leadership – training, mentoring, and motivating the kitchen staff
- Quality control – ensuring every dish meets our standards for flavor, presentation, and authenticity
- Menu execution – delivering consistent, high-quality Spanish cuisine, especially during peak hours
- Kitchen operations – ensuring smooth service, proper food prep, and excellent workflow
- Cost control and waste management – optimizing ingredient use and managing expenses
- Health and safety – ensuring hygiene and safety regulations are followed
A successful Head Chef at Delicatessen is hands-on, engaged, and thrives in the heat of service. You’ll work closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience every day.

Who You Are
We are looking for a Head Chef who is both a skilled chef and a strong leader—someone who knows how to run a high-energy kitchen while motivating and inspiring the team.
You should:
- Have leadership and coaching skills to build and develop a team
- Be hands-on and set high standards through your own example
- Have a passion for food; experience with Spanish cuisine is a plus
- Be organized and business-minded, with knowledge of food costs and kitchen logistics
- Communicate effectively with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying calm under pressure
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Sous Chef in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong kitchen management and leadership abilities
- Passion for quality ingredients and Spanish cuisine
- Fluency in English and/or Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language)
